At Barbou Clothing, we want you to be completely satisfied with your premium menswear purchases. If for any reason you’re not happy with your order from our Main Collection, Autumn Winter Collection, or any of our curated selections, we offer a straightforward returns and exchanges process.

Our Returns Policy

You may return most unworn, unwashed items with original tags attached within 15 days of receiving your order. Please note:

  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility (except for faulty items)
  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable
  • All returns must be sent via a trackable shipping method

Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on the following items from our collections:

  • Nightwear & Loungewear
  • Swimwear (unless faulty or unworn with hygiene liner intact)

How to Return an Item

Follow these simple steps to process your return or exchange:

  1. Initiate your return request within 15 days of delivery by emailing [email protected] with your order number and details of the items you wish to return (see template below)
  2. Wait for authorization – our customer service team will respond within 48 hours with return instructions
  3. Package your items securely in the original packaging if possible
  4. Ship your return using a trackable service to our Lancaster address (provided in your return authorization)
  5. Wait for processing – we’ll notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return

Return Shipping Methods

You may choose any trackable shipping method for your return. For your convenience, we recommend:

  • UK Customers: Royal Mail Special Delivery
  • International Customers: The same carrier used for original delivery (DHL/FedEx) or your local postal service with tracking

Refund Process

Once your return is received and approved:

  • Refunds will be processed within 5 business days
  • Your refund will be credited to the original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
  • Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund (typically 3-10 business days)

Exchange Process

To exchange an item for a different size or style from our collections (e.g., Big & Tall or Plus Size ranges):

  1. Follow the standard return process above
  2. Clearly indicate in your return request that you’d like an exchange and specify the replacement item
  3. We’ll process the exchange once we receive your return
  4. Any price differences will be charged or refunded accordingly

Note: Exchanges are subject to availability of the requested item in our New In or Not To Be Missed collections.

Faulty or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged, faulty, or incorrect item from our Smart Separates or Footwear collections:

  • Contact us immediately at [email protected]
  • We’ll arrange a free return shipping label if needed
  • You’ll receive a full refund or replacement (your choice)
